Factors Involved in Efficacy of Depression Treatment Options
Psychology, Psychiatry, Mental Health
We will analyze the most recent research and public databases on the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy, pharmacotherapy, and psychotherapy to find out which of the three treatments is the most effective in treating depression. We will also use statistical analysis to see if we can draw correlations between other factors such as age and gender and depression treatment outcomes and see how they interact with each other. This research will be used to help determine how we will address the current depression problem worldwide so that we may better our future workforce.

This research seeks to understand the psychological basis behind growing concerns over social media. We will draft a survey that will be conducted weekly to find out how social media such as Snapchat and Facebook affect mood of the participants. The team will practice drafting an experimental design and consent form, utilizing both to collect real data from friends, family, and colleagues. Lastly, they will do statistical analysis to find if their results are statistically significant.
