Diligence and a desire to excel in all aspects of her professional and academic life encompass Romina, who has proven herself academically in the most rigorous classes at UC San Diego. She is currently pursuing her degree in Bioengineering and is also partaking in research studies focusing on Predicting the outcome of Spine Surgeries using Image Processing Machine Learning. She is also researching the Right Ventricular Myocardium from Planar Biaxal Testing, conducted in the Bioinformatics Lab at UCSD.
Romina is an astute student who is selfless even with her demanding schedule. She has provided other students with her help in tutoring in advanced mathematics, computer programming, physics, and biology since 2017.
Romina has been awarded and recognized for her phenomenal work with students and maintaining exceptional GPA rankings, and her services to the surrounding community. She has been accepted to the prestigious STARS scholarship at UC San Diego and the TRELS scholarship. Romina has overcome many hardships in pursuing education and has never once conceded or failed in her academic goals.
